Midland homeowners are used to contractors who show up after a hailstorm and are gone by the next county. We're not that. We live here, our kids go to school here, and the roofs we treat are on streets we drive every week.

That's also why we'll tell you when a roof doesn't qualify. A treatment that won't work isn't a sale — it's a complaint waiting to happen.

The Science

Why Putting the Oils Back Actually Works

An asphalt shingle is a fiberglass mat saturated with petroleum-based oils and surfaced with mineral granules. The oils are the working part: they keep the asphalt flexible, hold the granules in the mat, and keep water out.

West Texas sun doesn't let up. Midland averages some of the highest UV loads in the state, and it strips the oils out of asphalt shingles faster than almost any climate in the country. The Permian Basin's dry air pulls moisture and flexibility out of shingles until they go brittle, curl at the edges, and start shedding granules.

GreenSoy™ is a soy-derived, USDA certified bio-based oil with a molecular structure close enough to the original asphalt oils to be reabsorbed by the mat. Spray-applied, it penetrates rather than coats — no added weight, no trapped moisture, no film on top of the shingle.

Independent laboratory work by PRI Construction Materials Technologies has measured the results: roughly 80% improvement in shingle flexibility and zero granule loss in hail impact testing on treated shingles. That flexibility is exactly what matters in hail alley — every spring storm season puts your shingles through impact they were never designed to take twice.

Rejuvenation at shingle scale: the oil is drawn into the mat, not layered over it.
Granules, fiberglass mat, asphalt binder — the binder is what dries out.
Treated on one side, untreated on the other. Saturation, not paint.

UV Depletion

Sun drives volatile oils out of the asphalt mat year after year, faster here than nearly anywhere.

Molecular Match

Soy-derived esters are absorbed into the mat rather than sitting on the surface as a film.

Honest Eligibility

Structure and granule coverage decide the answer, not a quota. Some roofs are past saving.
